Grow Classes offer training in a wide variety of topics from financial stewardship to discipleship strategies. These classes are a great way to learn more about Jesus and His application in your everyday life.

Wednesday Nights | 6 pm | 8 weeks | Room 255

We are called to reach those around us, but to be effective, we must understand some things about those we are trying to reach. What have they experienced? What are their real needs? This book study by Bill Ehlig and Dr. Ruby Payne was designed to help church members understand and reach out to people in poverty. Packed with relevant resources and eye-opening insights, this book will help equip you in your efforts to live out your calling as we reach those in our city.

This eight-week class will help couples who are blending a family navigate the waters of remarriage and blended family life. Bringing together different traditions, rules and personalities from two different families into one home is tough. This is no cakewalk, but it can work, and work quite well. It takes trust, honesty, and commitment to the step family process with a “no turning back” attitude. Join us to create a community of families who can relate, advise, and support each other along this journey.

This nine-week study teaches individuals God’s perspective of managing money and possessions. It will provide the practical applications of handling finances and really gets to the heart of the matter.  Topics include: God’s Part & Our Part; Debt, Honesty & Counsel; Generosity; Work; Saving & Investing; Crisis & Perspective; Eternity.

This 4-week video study hosted by Marcus Lloyd and produced by the Institute for Creation Research takes viewers through time and space, exploring how some of the greatest discoveries in astronomy were made by scientists of faith seeking to understand the exquisite order of God’s universe.

This group will meet weekly to pray for our neighborhood and our new City Center Ministry. The purpose of this group is to lift our city up to the Lord and listen for His direction and kind intention. All will be done based on the Word and in concert with the Spirit, giving glory to God. This time will be facilitated and directed, but it is hoped that men and women will come and pray as they can each week.  You can join the prayer team every week, or you can drop in as you are available to pray as a group and individually.

Mark Carter was born and raised here at Immanuel. He and his wife, Laura, have quadruplets, Michael, Katherine, Leslie and Ashley. Mark received a B.A. in Business Administration from Baylor University. As the Pastor for Church Administration, Mark manages our church operations and finances and also provides leadership for the church’s discipleship process. God has given Mark a passion for missional business, making reproducible disciples, marketplace ministry, and cross-cultural missions.

Traci Hogue

Director of City Center & Women’s Ministry

Traci Hogue joined Immanuel in 1994, and joined the staff in 2004. She and her husband, Michael, have three daughters, Katelyn, Caroline, and Kennedy. Traci received a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Arkansas in 1992. Traci wants to meet ladies right where they are and come alongside them – encouraging, supporting, praying and equipping them in their journey with God. She encourages women to grow in their relationship with Christ and one another through small groups, prayer meetings, fellowships, mentoring, and service opportunities.
